Election Commission of India Launches Electoral Roll Search Initiative

About the Election Commission of India

The Election Commission of India (ECI) is an autonomous constitutional authority responsible for administering Union and State election processes in India. It was established on January 25, 1950, under Article 324 of the Constitution of India.

Search by EPIC

The Electoral Roll Search initiative launched by the ECI allows voters to search for their names and polling stations in the national electoral rolls using their Elector's Photo Identity Card (EPIC) number. To use this service, voters can visit the ECI's website at https://eci.gov.in/eci_main1/ElectoralRolls/ElectoralRollSearch.aspx.

Once on the website, voters will need to enter their EPIC number and click on the "Search" button. The system will then display the voter's name, polling station, and other relevant information.

This initiative is a welcome step by the ECI to make it easier for voters to participate in the electoral process. By making it easier for voters to find their names and polling stations, the ECI is helping to ensure that every eligible voter has the opportunity to cast their vote.
