Boeing Whistleblower John Barnett Found Dead Amid Depositions Against Plane Company

The mother of John Barnett, a former Boeing quality manager-turned-whistleblower who died earlier this year, has told the BBC he was stressed and under pressure amid ongoing depositions against the plane company.
Mr. Barnett was found dead in January, a few months after he began cooperating with the U.S. Justice Department in its investigation into Boeing's 737 MAX aircraft, which was involved in two fatal crashes.
According to his mother, Mr. Barnett had raised concerns about manufacturing practices at the company's 787 Dreamliner jet, including the use of composite materials.
Boeing has said it is cooperating with the Justice Department's investigation and has taken steps to address safety concerns related to the 737 MAX.
The company has also said it is committed to the safety of its aircraft and its employees.
